    Description

Peruvian Andean trilogy made of oxidized copper
This artifact is an Andean trilogy, handmade by artisans from Cusco. The trilogy is composed of an Andean condor, puma and snake. These three animals are considered the Inca trilogy. That is, each of them represents a part of the world in the tripartite worldview. The condor, independent symbol, messenger of the gods, of the spirits. He is venerated as an intercessor or intermediary. It represents Hanan Pacha, the upper world. The puma, represented Kay Pacha, the world from here. It symbolizes wisdom, strength, intelligence. It symbolized the government, hence probably for that reason the planning of the Qosqo building had the shape of a puma. And the representation of the serpent of infinity for the Incas, symbolized Ukhu Pacha or the world below.
