    Description

    Charming painted clay taxi from the famous ceramic village of La Quinua near Ayacucho.  The taxi has Andean men peeking out all the windows, including the windshield, all wearing traditional knit chullo caps.
    The taxi is a red VW and loaded on top with items going to market, including a sheep, vino, and potatoes.
    I imported folk art from Peru for many years...this is an item that never sold and has been sitting on my closet shelf ever since, probably acquired in the '90's.  5-1/2" L x 4" H x 2-3/4" W.
