"Shipibo pottery is artistically crafted, beautiful and well deserves to be appreciated and collected. Pottery of this type is still being made today by the women of the Shipibo natives of the Peruvian Amazon. Coil construction and hand-painted intricate designs are sophisticated interpretations of their cosmic beliefs — that the jungle rivers follow the same course as the stars.”
